A good outcome from the Pandemic was the birth of our Telemedicine Services. Established patients who are unable to come to the clinic may set up a Telemedicine appointment with one of our providers. Please call our office (253) 474-5141 to be placed in an appointment slot for Telemedicine. Your prescription will be called in or faxed by our provider-on-duty. For those wishing opiate treatment and it is after-hours, the grant on overdose prevention is now over, so you will have to leave your name and number in our voicemail, or contact us through our webpage at www.rafaelmedicusclinic.com.
If you have been exposed to someone who has Covid-19, or are experiencing symptoms, you can test yourself for Covid-19 using a free kit from the United States Post Office. You can also purchase the kit from Walmart or Walgreens. We can call in medications for you after a telemedicine visit.
We provide physical exams, in office lab testing and procedures, management of chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc. We also provide specialty services including alcohol and drug withdrawal management, Home Detox Monitoring, opiate and alcohol treatment using medications like Suboxone and Sublocade, Vivitrol, Antabuse, Campral, and specialty clinics like Testosterone Replacement, Hepatitis C Treatment, Weight Loss Management, Methamphetamine treatment, etc. We provide Suboxone Detox and Suboxone Maintenance, as well as Traditional 12-step Treatment, Psychiatric, Social Work and Vocational Rehabilitation referrals. We also have classes in Mindfulness and Positive Thinking and make referrals to Clean and Sober Housing. We make proper referrals to specialists, when necessary and appropriate.
We provide diabetes treatment, hypertension management, Hepatitis C treatment, well child exams, preventive medicine evaluations, Return to Work Evaluations, STD checks, well woman exams, cancer screening, asthma screening, depression and anxiety screening, weight loss management, cholesterol screening and treatment, eye exams, heart disease screening and EKG's.
We also screen for and treat attention deficit disorders, and are able to refer for trauma therapy, and obtain psychiatric consultation.
We also provide overdose prevention classes, and hand-out Naloxone kits.
In addition, we provide Mental health counseling, chemical dependency intervention and counseling (SBIRT-screening, brief intervention, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy.)
We provide a comprehensive nicotine cessation program. Our providers are Tobacco Treatment Specialists, and prescribe medications for nicotine addiction. You can call 1-800-QUITNOW if you want to have a headstart.
We provide peer support, referrals for yoga classes, meditation and mindfulness. We are able to help in case management and assist the patient with social services, including DSHS, temporary housing, etc.
We are able to refer to Clean and Sober Housing, as well as other residential treatment facilities.
We provide outpatient withdrawal management from opiates, alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamines, and benzodiazepenes and Kratom. We treat Fentanyl addiction with Buprenorphine, or refer them for agonist maintenance.
